P.S. Dragon? (Dusty)
Dust Storm, AKA Dusty, is my big, lovable, teddy bear of a leonin. He’s currently away from home, helping rebuild a town but he keeps regular correspondence with his sister, Dawn, another character of mine. Below is one if his letters to her, catching her up on all sorts of shenanigans.
Dawn!!
How are you? I’m so sorry I haven’t written much lately; things have been pretty busy around here. I know you think it’s boring, but this place is actually pretty cool. It’s small and still growing and I love it. There are a few new folks that came to town not long ago. I had run into them when I was out chopping wood and we got attacked by a pack of boars. We dispatched them pretty quickly and boy did we eat well that night! Anyway. You’d like Max. He’s a bit of a nerd like you. Really into magic but mostly loves books. Oh! We’re actually building a library here. Max wants to help out around the town, so we talked to Talia and decided on the library to give both of us something to create. Maybe you could come check it out sometime after it’s done? We’ll surely need some help stocking it. In the meantime, we’ve taken on some jobs around the area. Just a few things Talia needed done. Well…Harbin needed them done but he’s in a state right now so Talia’s in charge. I gotta say, it was an absolute blast! We got to Ada’s mill and there was a manticore trying to get into her so we fought it off and somehow killed it so she could come out but the door was destroyed in the process. And we went to Gnomengarde and met so so many gnomes! There was Fiddlestibb and Dabbledobb, Factore, Joybell and Dimbel and Upandown, and the kings…sorry…rambling. I know you have no interest in their names. But it was fun! Cherry, one of the other new folks, almost died when we went to the dwarven excavation site. It was intense! Thankfully, there was a dwarf lady there that was able to heal her up. I’m hoping there will be more jobs to do sometime. In the meantime, the new folks and I have been getting to know each other. I already mentioned Max. Cherry kind of scares me if I’m being honest… she likes to burn things. Not the best hobby in a town full of wooden buildings. And there’s Pixie too. She can throw a mean punch! I keep thinking she and Cherry are related but they say they aren’t. Still not sure I believe them. But anyway. How’s everything going at the library? Have you guys gotten any cool new things in? I hope all is going well with you and Willow. Please send her my love as well! I miss you all and hope I can see you soon. And mom too…if you see her, let her know I’m doing all right.
